Bruce Davidson at the Corcoran

Professor Alexandra Silverthorne and several Basic Photography students went to hear renowned photographer Bruce Davidson speak at the Corcoran College of Art & Design.

Mozell Brown, a social work major at UDC, writes the following about the lecture:

When I attended the Corcoran Gallery of Arts for the lecture by Bruce Davidson, I was in total awe of his work. He displayed a large range of photo that were very intrigue. The photos had great contrast and composition. The photos really told a story of what was taking place at the time of the shoot. I like all of them especially the photo of the Civil Rights March and several others. Seeing the work of Bruce Davidson really gave me an appreciation of photography.
